5: Modern cooperation

This film is a modern repeat of the classic 'food pull' cooperation experiment, where two chimps must work together to obtain the food reward. Neither chimpanzee has the strength alone to pull the rope and move the heavy box, but by working together the goal can be achieved. This time, however, key insights into the nature of chimpanzee 'friendship' are revealed by changing primate pairs.
