Men's Soccer Freeman-Roche Earns UAA Athlete of the Week-Defense

New York University junior Devin Freeman-Roche was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week-Defense on Oct. 22 after a stellar week for the Violets.

Freeman-Roche tallied an assist in a 2-0 week and spearheaded a defensive effort that helped the Violets outscore the opposition 9-1. Freeman-Roche produced his second assist of the season in a 5-1 victory over Rowan University on Oct. 17. Four days later, he helped NYU limit St. Joseph’s College (Long Island) to one shot on goal in a 4-0 road triumph.

Now 11-3-1 this season and winners of three straight contests, NYU is currently ranked #22 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas National Rankings and #23 by d3kicks.com.
