In an earlier issue of Nature (http://www.nature.com/news/2009/090417/full/458983a.html) I was able to express my views on the late Sir John Royden Maddox. I might add that it might be a good idea for Nature to bestow an award annually (for a seminal contribution in science) in the memory of Sir John. Dr. Upinder Fotadar
