i see absolutely nothing wrong with one of the companies doing work in-house. certainly their results can be checked for accuracy and reliability. if their work is not then they simply will be found to be lacking and either improve or fold. trust and verify as "they" say.
The speed up and lowered costs are good. But how much improvements have scientists made in applying those data, for example in personalized medicine?
