Skin cancer on the rise
Increase in melanoma cases not due to better diagnosis.
The rising incidence of skin cancer — which grew at an average rate of 3.1% per year between 1992 and 2004 in the United States — reflects a real increase in risk, not just better diagnosis of the condition, researchers report.
