Have you ever been trapped at a long stoplight (I'm in the U.S.) next to a car with a booming bass while your cranial bones and teeth vibrate? It can be maddeningly uncomfortable and if I'm trapped there long enough a headache often develops. Why do we not recognize sound pollution as being as harmful as it is?
I totally agree! And imagine you have to rely on the things you hear to orientate... Well, of course, there is really a BIG threat by enemy submarines in these days! ;) They really should stop playing war and concentrate on more important things- like protecting the environment!
