Oh wow, what a surprise, if you add 10% DMSO in an Eppendorf cup, you extract organic compounds. Nothing new for a chemist, so far I thought everybody is more or less aware of the fact, that organic solvents can extract organic compounds. That plastic leach compounds in aqeous solutions shouldn't really be surprising as well. I guess most of the people had this experience at home in the kitchen already with their food or drinks. Seems not so, therefore this ist worth a science publication. Congratulation! But maybe now everybody is a bit more sensitised what they do with their plastic lab equipment and looking also a bit more critical on their results.
