Phoenix faces final curtain
Mars lander struggles to communicate in its last days.
NASA engineers are desperately trying to maintain contact with the Phoenix spacecraft, which has been digging into the icy martian soil since it landed on the red planet in May.
After losing communication with the craft completely earlier this week, they managed to re-establish a weak link last night.
