Halting deforestation sounds a noble goal indeed. But who is this "Terrestrial Carbon Group of international scientists, economists and land-policy experts" and where do their funds come from? To Olivier Manuel above: Why do a scientists need to be 'appointed' or 'voted for' in order to publicly express an opinion? Your comments themselves get curiouser and curiouser! BTW you can find out all about them through Google. Not a very secret organisation.
