Krill spotted diving at depth
Novel behaviour highlights flexibility of plucky crustacean.
Antarctic krill have been caught on camera at the bottom of the Southern Ocean, far deeper than they are usually found. The crustaceans were spotted diving head-first into the sea bed, stirring up sediment to feed on the remains of phytoplankton lying on the sea floor.
