It's obvious that rules and regulations for biosafety in the labs are not enough. We need proper ENFORCEMENT of these rules too! Recordkeeping and paperwork are good for investigations to find out the culprit retrospectively, but offers little in the way of prevention. Surely, there must be some way we could implement a security system to prevent improper handling of dangerous materials outside designated areas.
