Carbon dioxide storage holds limited promise

Approach could halve industrial emissions by 2050.

Sequestering carbon dioxide from industrial power plants could be important in reducing the threat of climate change, but not until the middle of this century.

So says a report released on 26 September by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
