Cassini enters orbit
Saturn satellite slides smoothly into position.
The world's space scientists can uncross their fingers; last night theCassini-Huygens probe successfully negotiated its way into Saturn's orbit,where it will spend four years observing the ringed planet at closequarters.
Cassini's main engine successfully fired a 95-minute 'burn' to slow theprobe enough to be captured by Saturn's gravity.
