Saturn looms in Cassini's sights

Probe nears target after seven-year voyage.

The Cassini-Huygens spacecraft will experience its first close encounter when it flies past one of Saturn's outermost moons, Phoebe, on Friday.

Cassini, a joint project managed by NASA and the European Space Agency(ESA), has already travelled more than 3.
