Molecules bring about face

A small chemical change has a big effect on a developing face.

Twomolecules can rearrange a face, report researchers who have caused chicken embryos to develop a second beak. "We transformed one part of the face into another," says Joy Richman of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
