Cool new gadget
A transistor-like device made from a superconductor might open the door to better, low temperature electronics, Philip Ball explains.
Anew transistor-like device could usher in the era of electronic circuitry wired with superconducting materials. Free of electrical resistance, superconducting wires also cope with the low temperatures that foil conventional circuitry.
