New tactic for tuberculosis treatment

Despite the fact that we have a vaccine and an antibacterial treatment, Mycobacterium tuberculosis - the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB) - continues to infect a third to a half of the world's population. Whereas most people who carry the bacterium do not get sick, three million people still die from the disease each year.
