Pollution hits new heights

Mountain air and clear skies over snow-capped peaks may appear to epitomize clean, healthy living and unpolluted purity. But a study published in the 8 October edition of Nature shows that mountain regions may in fact be accumulating damaging levels of industrial pollutants and agricultural pesticides.
