Dust clears on early star formation
Cosmologists have this week moved an important step closer to understanding how and when the stars were first formed. Data collected by an extremely sensitive new camera have revealed new galaxies whose surrounding dust clouds suggest star formation occurred much earlier and far more intensively than recently thought.
