Radar to stop snowploughs gouging roads
Innovation could help clear streets and find avalanche victims.
Engineers in California have patented a radar device that can spot objects buried in snow. The invention is designed to help snowploughs steer clear of rocks and curbs, and could potentially be used to help dig victims out from avalanches.
