Ebola spreads from animals to hunters
Future outbreaks may be hard to predict, tests suggest.
A genetic analysis of Ebola in central Africa has helped confirm that the disease can spread to people when hunters handle infecetd animal corpses.
Eric Leroy at the International Centre for Medical Research in Franceville, Gabon, and colleagues, along with local villagers, noticed an increased number of large animal carcasses in the forest just before one Ebola outbreak in Gabon.
