Hepatitis-like drugs could treat allergies
Virus plus gene may protect against asthma.
A new genetic study may help to explain why allergies are rife in the Western world, and could aid the development of anti-asthma medicines.
The study hints at how exposure to the hepatitis A virus reduces the risk of developing allergies as much as fourfold.
