Test tells apart infected and vaccinated foot-and-mouthcattle
Future FMD outbreaks could be tackled by immunization, not culling.
A cheap new test can distinguish cattle infected with or vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease (FMD)1. It could allow future outbreaks to be curtailed by immunization rather than by culling, researchers suggest.
