Gene linked to Tourette's syndrome
DNA defect may cause involuntary physical and verbal tics.
Researchers have found a gene mutation that seems to lead to the mental disorder Tourette's syndrome. The gene is normally switched on in nerve cells; its disruption might make them hyperactive.
