Genetic test adverts under scrutiny
US government to assess impact of commercial breast-cancer campaign.
Health authorities in the United States have launched an investigation into the impact on women of an advertising campaign for a genetic breast-cancer test.
The campaign, run by biotech company Myriad Genetics, was the first to use television, radio and magazine advertising to mass-market a genetic test.
