Schizophrenics may lose nerve links
Communication between cells seems abnormal in troubled brains.
Schizophrenics' brain cells may form deviant connections during life, neuroscientists have revealed. The finding adds to clues that the disease, which affects roughly 1 in every 100 people, changes brain structure fundamentally.
