Planets were precocious
Earth and Mars were born 20 million years earlier than thought.
Earth, Mars and probably the Moon started forming earlier, and assembled themselves more quickly, than previous geological evidence had suggested. New analyses of rare radioactive elements push our planet's birth back in time by 20 million years.
