Lung bacteria morph into lethal form
Cystic-fibrosis lungs could be cleared by flicking a bacterial switch.
US researchers have identified how bacteria lining the lungs of cystic-fibrosis patients switch into a deadly mode1. Altering this switch could lead to more effective therapies for potentially lethal infections.
