Loss hits you between the eyes
Brain's negativity-detector might be an unreliable guide.
Losing money touches part of the brain's emotion circuit behind the forehead, researchers have discovered. The area seems to be a general negativity-detector: the amount lost doesn't matter, and winning leaves it cold.
