Double or quit for cancer drug

Genetic patterns predict chemotherapy success

Double DNA you win, triple you lose: some cancer patients with two rather than three key DNA repeats respond better to a widely used chemotherapy drug, researchers suggest1. Their findings raise hopes that gene-tailored medicine will make treatment less of a gamble.
