Market calms before storm
Stock-market crashes are preceded by an eerie bout of predictability.
When the next Wall Street Crash comes, Oxford University researchers might just be ready for it. Telltale omens that sweep through a complex system such as the stock market just before it undergoes a large change may make disasters predictable, they claim1.
