Some choose to lose memory
We can consciously block out bits of the past.
We can block out some unwanted memories -- if we try really hard not to think about them, a new study suggests. The research, from the University of Oregon in Eugene, and published in this week's Nature 1, should help us to understand the memory loss people suffer after traumatic events.
