Knot big, but clever

Macramé made from metal strands thinner than human hair could bring miniature electromagnets. .

Researchers in the United States and Canada are tying some very small knots. They have joined curved metal strands thinner than a human hair into complex shapes including a figure of eight, linked chains and a Möbius strip.
