Resistance is useful
David Adam reports on the startling news that insecticide-resistant mosquitoes may cut transmission of tropical diseases.
Insecticide-resistant mosquitoes are less likely to transmit the tropical disease lymphatic filariasis, new research shows. The mosquitoes studied do not carry malaria but similar resistance mechanisms have been seen in those that do.
