Drug smuggling in a waterproof coat

How do you stop a molecule getting dry? With an umbrella, of course, explains Philip Ball.

Chemists in Pennsylvania are inventing a new way of smuggling drugs. But with the best of intentions: they are trying to carry them into cells, where the drugs can exert their therapeutic effect.
