Flies may help the fight against Parkinson's disease, David Adam discovers.

Fruit flies with the symptoms of Parkinson's disease could give new insight into this debilitating nervous disorder in people, if research announced this week takes off. Flies bred with a human gene that is linked to Parkinson' disease lose the ability to move properly as they age -- just like human sufferers.
