Womb to tomb

Twins, even before they are born, assert their differences, reports Sara Abdulla.

Identical twins behave differently from one another from the earliest stages of pregnancy, an ultrasound study on 30 pairs of twins has revealed. Alessandra Piontelli of the University of Milan, Italy found that even at only 10 weeks old, twin foetuses behave distinctly, and do so consistently until birth1.
