 March of Dimes
March of Dimes
The March of Dimes is a not-for-profit health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies and in 2003 launched a campaign to address the increasing rate of premature birth. Visit the March of Dimes Web site at marchofdimes.com or its Spanish language Web site at nacersano.org. For information on research grant programs, click on "Professionals and Researchers," "Research Funding" in left-hand column, and scroll down to "RFP for 2006."
 Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. For more information, go to: www.autismspeaks.org

 Cure Autism Now
Cure Autism Now
Cure Autism Now is an organization of parents, clinicians and scientists dedicated to accelerating research to prevent, treat and cure autism–for individuals and families today, and for future generations. Through funding to date of more than $35 million in research awards and the development and support of the Autism Genetic Resource Exchange (AGRE), Cure Autism Now has become one of the largest private funders of autism research in the country. Cure Autism Now is committed to broadening awareness and understanding of a disorder that now affects an estimated one in every 166 children born in the United States.
