Effect of positive resection margin after gastrectomy for advanced gastric cancer

A lack of both standardized surgical techniques and effective adjuvant chemotherapy regimens means that survival rates are poor following gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Through an examination of medical records covering a 15-year period, Cho et al. have determined the effect of microscopic positive margins on survival following extended gastric resection for advanced gastric cancer.
