BRCA mutations are not associated with increased risk of endometrial cancer

Mutations in BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes have been shown to contribute to increased risks of breast and ovarian cancers; however, it is unclear whether these mutations are also associated with increased risk of endometrial cancer as previous studies have produced inconsistent findings. A recent study by Beiner and colleagues suggested that BRCA mutations are not directly associated with increased risk of endometrial cancer.
