Phase I results for bortezomib in children with refractory solid tumors

Bortezomib, a proteasome inhibitor, has shown activity against a variety of tumor types in preclinical studies and has been licensed as a third-line treatment for adults with multiple myeloma. Blaney et al. have recently reported the results of their phase I study of bortezomib in children with recurrent or refractory solid tumors.
