Telephone-based tool might improve pain management skills

For patients who have chronic pain, cognitive–behavioral therapy (CBT) in a group setting can be a valuable aid in the self-management of pain; however, the benefits of this therapy can be difficult to maintain after the CBT has terminated. Naylor et al. report on a self-administered tool that could help patients to maintain, and indeed even improve on, their management of pain after completion of CBT.
