Electromyography-based model can distinguish early essential from parkinsonian tremor

The clinical criteria currently used to classify tremors are sometimes insufficient to distinguish between different tremor types. In particular, it can be difficult to distinguish between essential tremor and parkinsonian tremor at the early stages of disease. Now, Breit et al. report on the generation of an automated analysis procedure that can reliably differentiate between these two types of tremor.
