(A) T1 sequence demonstrating T1 shortening in the right frontal lobe. (B) T2 sequence demonstrating T2 prolongation (hyperintensity) at the site of the glioma. (C) Contrast-enhanced imaging of the glioma showing no marked contrast enhancement. Although these images are considered 'typical', numerous studies have questioned the reliability and accuracy of these imaging characteristics for the diagnosis of low-grade glioma.
