Anke Reinacher-Schick

 

From 1986–1987 Anke Reinacher-Schick received a Liberal Arts Education at Tufts University, Boston, MA, USA. She attended Medical School at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany, from 1987–1994, completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at Knappschaftskrankenhaus, Ruhr-University Bochum from 1994–1998, and was a Research Fellow working on colon cancer carcinogenesis at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, NY, USA from 1998–2000. In 2003, she gained her Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Since 2004 she has been an Attending Physician in Medical Oncology at Knappschaftskrankenhaus, Ruhr-University Bochum. In 2005, she gained a PhD-equivalent (Habilitation) and became Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology.

Michael Pohl

 

Michael Pohl attended Medical School at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany, from 1995–2002. Since 2002 he has been an Internal Medicine Resident at Knappschaftskrankenhaus, Ruhr-University Bochum. His clinical and research interests lie in gastrointestinal oncology.

Wolff Schmiegel

 

Wolff Schmiegel attended Medical School in Leuven, Bochum, Germany, and in Bonn, Germany, from 1970–1977. From 1978–1993 he was a Research Associate and Fellow in Hematology and Oncology, and also in Hepatology and Gastroenterology at the University Hospital, Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany. In 1987, he became Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of Hamburg, and in 1993 he became Professor of Medicine. Since 1993, he has been Professor and Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Medical University Clinic, Knappschaftskrankenhaus, Ruhr-University Bochum. Since 2002, he has been Head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, University Clinics Bergmannsheil, Ruhr-University Bochum.
