A Puri is a Senior Research Associate, Department of Cardiology, King George's Medical University, Lucknow, India, where he also trained and completed his post graduation in Cardiology in 2005 with honors. He is a trained Interventional Cardiologist and has been associated with multinational studies including CREATE, CREATE-ECLA and the ExTRACT-TIMI-25. He is also interested in pulmonary arterial hypertension and is at present trying to develop further the concept of early use of combined oral therapies in pulmonary arterial hypertension.
Michael D McGoon
MD McGoon is Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, MN, USA and Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic since1996. He attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed his cardiology training at the Mayo Clinic. His interest in pulmonary hypertension led to participation in multiple clinical trials starting with prostacyclin, and continuing to the present time. He has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board (now Scientific Leadership Council) of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) since 1994, serving as its Chair from 2002 to 2004. He is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees of the PHA (2006–2008), and Chair of the Steering Committee of the Registry to Evaluate Early and Long-term Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Disease Management (REVEAL).
Sudhir S Kushwaha
SS Kushwaha is Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, MN, USA. He attended the London Hospital Medical College, University of London and completed cardiology training both in London and at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He set up the Pulmonary Hypertension service at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York and remains a part of the pulmonary hypertension group at the Mayo Clinic. He also has an interest in coronary physiology of the transplanted heart, having previously trained with Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub and is part of the cardiac transplant program at the Mayo Clinic.
