Community-based screening for abdominal aortic aneurysm

Rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm carries a case fatality of approximately 80%, and population-based screening programs have been devised to help prevent such events. A new study from Western Australia has examined the effectiveness of community-based screening in men aged 65–83 years.
