Abstract
A couple of mRNA steps After transcription, immature mRNAs are metabolized through several processing steps, including polyadenylation, before being exported from the nucleus. For instance, a quaternary complex of mammalian poly(A)-binding protein, cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF), poly(A) polymerase, and RNA is active during addition of mRNA tails.
