Surface diffusion: What a drag
Abstract
To achieve a greater understanding of how to build and operate molecular machines, scientists must learn to control the behaviour of molecules at surfaces. Now, Talat Rahman, Ludwig Bartels and co-workers at the University of Central Florida and the University of California, Riverside have shown that even a small change to a molecule can greatly affect the way it moves over a surface.
