Bidentate ligands: Ringing the changes
Abstract
Bidentate ligands are ubiquitous in organometallic chemistry. They are popular because when coordinated to a metal a fairly rigid structure is generated, and it is thus easier to understand how small changes in ligand structure affect reactivity.
